Get Fleur to host a lecture or workshop for your performers or creative community. Choose between a confidence‑building lecture that helps performers step into their stage selves with intention and ease, a workshop on setting boundaries as a performer, and a cosy craft workshop where we gather, focus, and finally get those costume projects done.
I (Lisanne, the woman behind Fleur) am no stranger to public speaking or holding workshops. Before I began performing, I ran my own business as a life coach and trainer, where one of my main focusses was leading workshops for both small and large groups (up to 30 people). Later, I continued developing and leading workshops and trainings in my work as a project manager.
With me, you are in good hands.
I can offer my workshops and lectures in English, Norwegian and Dutch.
A one-hour lecture/workshop about how characters create confidence, safety and artistic freedom.
Every performer carries more than one self inside them:
The everyday self, with its doubts and hesitations
And the stage self, who steps in the (spot)light with intention
In this lecture/workshop, I break down how characters are constructed, why they strengthen stage presence, and how performers can borrow their character's traits to manage nerves and self-criticism.
Drawing from life-coach training and practice, burlesque, theatre and my own experience, I break down the anatomy of a character: the archetype, the emotional presence, the movements and the costume elements. You will see how these pieces come together to create a character that feels larger, freer and more fearless than your everyday self.
But we go deeper than the stage alone. We will talk about how characters can offer emotional safety, permission to take up space and a buffer against nerves and self-criticism. I will show you how you, as a performer, can "borrow" traits from your stage self and use them in everyday life.
"Building confidence through character" will make you look at your character not as a mask, but as a door opening, a way to access the parts of yourself that are ready to shine on and off stage.
As a (burlesque) performer you show a lot of yourself on stage. You share your character with the audience, engage with them, and sometimes blur the line between that stage self and everyday self. But what happens after the show when you’re mingling, and someone crosses a boundary of consent? It has happened to me, and I know I’m not alone.
Boundaries and consent aren’t just about intimate relationships. They exist everywhere: in backstage spaces, in audience interactions, in producer expectations, and in your own sense of safety.
This one‑hour workshop focuses on identifying your personal boundaries, communicating them clearly, protecting them, responding when they’re crossed, and understanding how to repair situations where you may have crossed someone else’s.
I have been actively practicing communication and boundary‑setting since 2021, long before I started performing, in both professional and personal contexts. This experience has given me the confidence to share my knowledge and support performers in building safer, clearer interactions on and off stage.
Costume deadline creeping closer? Can’t find the focus to finish your piece? Pasties misbehaving? Sewing machine giving you attitude?
Let’s fix that. I host a gentle, crafty space where you can work on your costume with support, encouragement, and a few shortcuts. I’ve been sewing and making things since I was small, and my number one rule is: be lazy. Truly. Make it work the easiest way possible.
Sometimes all it takes is sitting together, sharing tips, and focusing on what needs to be done. Gather a group of 5–10 people and I will support you through your costume tasks.
This get together is non-alcoholic.
Because every event and community is different, the price for lectures and workshops is open for discussion. We can find a rate that matches your needs, your audience, and the context you’re creating.
